Players only, please!
Are you a member of a guild? If so, do you feel greater loyalty toward your guild or your political party?
Ans 1: I'm more loyal to my guild than my political party. Ans 2: I'm more loyal to my political party than my guild. Ans 3: I'm not a member of a guild.
(Psst... If you're a guild member, but not interested in a political party, your answer is 1)
Feel free to comment on your answer.

Well, I'm not much of a guild member anymore, but when I was...
Let's put it this way, I think Chris Rock said it best when it comes to political parties: Republicans? idiots. Democrats? idiots. Libertarians... ... well. Anybody who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is just a d4mned fool.
So really it doesn't matter much whether I was terribly guildy or not... i'm not exactly "politically minded" either.

I participate in a guild in WoW called the Doomhammer Covenant. I also follow the democratic party in real life. To tell you the truth I am about as loyal to my guild as I am my political party but I would definitely do a lot more for my guild than I would for any democrat.

My guild (supergroup, I play City of Heroes) is a bunch of friends I hang out with and enjoy. My "political party" (I am generally considered a Democrat) I only assosciate with to give people a primary view of my beliefs. I'd far more readily help out my buddy than help out the politician who's running on a platform. Just my 2 influence (City of Heroes currency, for those who don't know )

I am definitely more loyal to my guild than I would be to my political party. I don't really follow politics that often which may be a reason why I tend to follow my guilds more. But loyalty to my guild is still only a perception. I generally join guilds anyways to take advantage of them or their resources to gain it for myself.

I play Guild Wars and Final Fantasy XI
In FFXI, which i have been playing very long time, I am WAY more devoted to those ppl than for my political affiliation. The same would be true for my group of friends in real life. It is a matter of totally different relationships. I am personally connected to my friends (online as well as RL). I am politically connected to other ppl I share political views with. My friends have done me personal favors and I feel connected to them in a very real and personal way. Politicians have done things for all Americans, which i appreciate, but I do not feel directly connected to them.
